Join the journey as the Galatea, a classic 43-ft. Hans Christian blue-water cruising boat, is upfitted above and below deck with beautiful Sunbrella® performance fabrics. The project will cover the makeover all the way from design consultation to sailing the open seas with all-new fabrics aboard.
Get to know boat owner Steve Mason, who is also a professional photographer, sailing enthusiast and Sunbrella fabric loyalist. (“No other fabric is worthy of a classic like the Galatea,” he declares.) In concert with his fabricator partners Jason Iverson of Iverson's Designs and Pam Tregoning of Portage Canvas & Upholstery, we’ll transform Steve’s prized 43-footer while not only maintaining but actually enhancing the boat’s classic lines and feel. Along the way, we’ll demonstrate how interior spaces can reflect an owner’s individual style and personality while coordinating with the exterior and being highly functional.
